According to the New York Post earlier this year former San Francisco mayor. Or predicted that Hillary Clinton will step aside that vice president Joseph Biden will take her spot and that New York governor Andrew Cuomo will be tapped as vice president. When Obama dumps Biden does any of this makes sense let's open up -- -- out of buffalo state college communications and political science professor. Bruce Bruschi good morning Bruce. Good morning David John. Doesn't make any sense to me it doesn't make any sense for Obama doesn't make any sense for Cuomo all our hope if Obama loses. New York State over is VP pick he's in trouble anyway and I think Cuomo which is riding a wave right now. Like I haven't seen in awhile and it stayed and he has a lot of work to do. And that you a lot of what you want to do something now when he could do it for years from now somebody -- Now I don't it doesn't make any sense at all. You know I was about to ask you that's -- let me move on my next question usually when we talk about a running mate. This after the president is actually nominated why the buzz now so soon do you think. About something that could easily change wouldn't it be risky to pick a running -- so -- Bruce. You know yeah exactly guy and I beyond I think what we have here is a new sleek or just a rumor and I I don't even know how substantial this. Are much credence I can give this it is from from every political. Perspective is it just doesn't it just doesn't -- doesn't make any sense. The New York is definitely gonna vote for the Democrat that there's no there's no question about it and they can say you know the VP choice. All my income. I think people vote for the presidential candidate not the VP candidate. Fred Vickers article this morning basically just that Paris two predictions together. To quote he looks -- -- former San Francisco mayor Andy looks at former state Republican Party chair. Two people saying it is not really enough I would think -- I don't think so and say you know sometimes these these rumors are these news leaks gain momentum on their own but. You know I just don't I don't see it here you have. A newly elected governor in a Blue States. What you he can take the next four warnings have peers and really prove himself and then if he decides to run for higher office. You know especially being governor I think I think -- governors and a better positioned. And and many elected officials to to be a prime candidate for president because they have to do a lot of managing. Deal with the economy so I think it almost gonna do it's going to be -- four years from now at least. Bruce you repeat him -- -- it's -- very relaxed when playing sixteen. Perhaps I mean you know especially if things go well for him if he can change the other stayed around and you know he's. He. Angers some Democrats I suppose in some educators but he's. You know the taxpayer's problem and everything he does right now seems to what turned to gold so. -- continues this paper for four more years he would definitely a prime candidate. Bruce is Joseph Biden the liability of some kind as vice president. I don't think coach guy you know he's not he's not not the most dynamic person he does put his foot in his small quite a bit. -- it's going to be up I think Obama's gonna leave it up to him. If -- want to step down as we get closer to the election that's one thing but I think I think Obama in terms of loyalty. Is gonna stick with Biden. I print -- thanks for your time this morning Bruce.
